Many were introduced to Kris Lammers' special brand of illustration though her work with the Gooseberry Patch cookbook series. A life-long artist with a passion for drawing, Kris' artwork is a unique blend of technically well-crafted design and crisp detail, complimented by softened shapes, sweet imagery and often a touch of humor. When asked about the appeal for her in designing fabric for quilters, Kris answers, "I love quilters...and I love the camaraderie of this centuries old tradition. Strangers can meet in a quilt shop and become instant friends. Quilters are artists...their creativity amazes me!" When she's not drawing or painting, Kris gathers inspiration wherever she can, often while treasure hunting in junk stores for her other creative outlets - refurbishing furniture and refashioning clothing. She also adores spending time with her five grandchildren.
