Mastery Class - Bernina Serger Basics - Part 2



Mastery: Serger Basics - The Second class of the serger guide classes will cover the L850, b64, L460, L450, 1300 MDC, 1150, and other Bernina machines where the customer has bought extra feet. The exercises in this part of the class consist of learning to use just those bought feet. The last hour or so of the class will be devoted only to the cover stitch machines that do the cover stitch/chain stitch. So not all machines will in this part of the classes.

Customers who purchase a machine from Cupcake Quilts are welcome to attend our Free Mastery classes, If you’ve purchased a machine elsewhere, you can attend at a fee of $50.00 an hour. 

Classes will be offered every month but we will rotate the days of the week to be able to accommodate everyone's schedule.

Be sure to reserve your space for Mastery class by calling the location of your choice. You will be required to bring your own machine to each class. If you have just a few questions about specific functions on your machine, or have an older model, please email Gypsy at gypsy@cupcakequilts.com to set up a one on one appointment.


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Learn the basics of how to use your BERNINA Serger.
Materials Included: A workbook will be provided in the class for you. Materials are not included. The teacher will send you a supply list for your to purchase items for the class.
Requirements: You are required to bring your machine to class with you and supplies used in the class. Bring your serger and equipment to class. There are no kits for this class so all fabrics have to be cut to size before coming to the class. To participate in the class, please, bring all the items that come with your new machine including the machine. You will receive an email from Gypsy Hargrove pertaining to what to bring to the class. It is important to bring what is needed for the class..
Instructor: Gypsy Hargrove
Instructor Bio: Gypsy has been sewing on Berninas since 2013 and has been teaching since about 2014 for guide classes and technique classes. She also embroiders on machines and uses sergers and coverstitch machines. She has been sewing over 60 years and several years spent sewing (and acting and singing) in theatre groups all over. Her joy is sewing and helping people learn how to sew.
