Sashiko Stitching by Sewing Machine
Most commonly, it involves white stitching on an indigo fabric in geometric patterns. The long, separated stitches of sashiko give it a unique look that normally can only be achieved by hand. BUT.....with the right tools, you can get this look on your sewing machine!

Requirements: | You must own your own sewing machine in good working order and know how to use it. This is a technique class not a guide class. Upon registration you will be sent an email with class information and a supply list. Items needed for the class will need to be purchased before you come to the class. |

Instructor Bio: | Gypsy has been sewing on Berninas since 2013 and has been teaching since about 2014 for guide classes and technique classes. She also embroiders on machines and uses sergers and coverstitch machines. She has been sewing over 60 years and several years spent sewing (and acting and singing) in theatre groups all over. Her joy is sewing and helping people learn how to sew. |
