Humble Location: Jelly Roll Rug



Have you ever wondered what to do with that stack of Jelly Rolls in your sewing room?  Why not make a rug for your sewing room, or any other room that needs brightening up? Or you can find that perfect jelly roll to add to your decor in a specific room.  You can also cut your own 2 1/2" strips from whatever fabric you like. This class will turn the 2 1/2" strips and some batting in to a colorful rug.  You need a machine that will stitch straight and a 5.5mm zig zag stitch.

Supply List:

Sewing Machine capable of straight and zig zag stitches.
Jelly Roll Rug pattern. 
Size 14-18 Jeans Sewing Machine Needle. 
Batting seam tape
Bosal 50 yd roll of 2 1/2" batting OR 1 1/4 yd of cotton batting 96" wide (cut in to 17  2 1/2" strips)
(Join strips into one long strip using Batting Seam Tape). 
Jelly Roll or 40-42 2 1/2" strips of your choosing (Before class, these should be joined in to one long strip using diagonal seams.  You can leave the jelly roll in the order it came in or you can re-arrange them to your liking.)
Large spool of thread to co-ordinate with your jelly roll. 
Winding 4 or 5 bobbins before class is helpful.
